About Us
Meet the Crew
I'm Rachel
Equine expert and enthusiast and founder of Elite Equine Services. I have a B.S. in Equine Science and 17 years of equine experience including equine management, nutrition, disease, training and minor medical care. My love for equines started at a very young age and grew to an outstanding amount after receiving an Appalossa named Santana at age 10. Since he and I were so close in age there were many life lessons learned between the two of us and I give him all the credit for my passion for their kind.
Our schooling included mostly hunt seat on the flat and over smaller fences (2’6), basic dressage techniques, trail riding, barrel and pole patterns, and natural horsemanship skills. After graduating high school, I then moved to Colorado to continue my studies and ultimately love my chosen career in the equine industry. Since graduating in 2020 I have been lucky enough to guide trail rides, teach beginner level lessons, drive a variety of carriages and wagons, dip my toe in endurance riding, and clean/organize stables.
I feel as though horse and farm owners can never find enough time in the day to do all that is necessary for them and their fluff balls, so that is the main reason I started Elite Equine Services. My purpose is to free up time for you to achieve other important tasks or give you peace of mind while you are away for a much needed vacation.
